Are you in for the Count?

The Great Backyard Bird Count, that is.

It's fun, family-oriented and it's for a great cause as well.  The count lasts four days and starts today, on the 15th. The last day to participate is on Monday.  All you have to do is count the birds that you see and report it on this website.

The GBBC Website in association with BirdSource.org

The information gathered will be used in projects and programs to help protect and save birds around the world.  This year, GBBC goes global so if you are in South America, the Yukon Territories, or in downtown Sydney, Australia, you can count birds and make your record count!

Have fun!
I've already uploaded my first checklist for today.

Till Next!

    1. YES! That's fine, too. You see, it doesn't matter which birds you count, as long as they are counted. You wouldn't believe the valuable information that the scientists can gather from just knowing that certain birds were at a certain place at a certain time.

Sparrows! I don't know where you live, but I don't have sparrows! LOL!!
So - go ahead, PLEASE! Count them and go enter your report at the GBBC website! They will be happy to have your sparrow count!
